Week 1 Reflection - First entry!

Hello guys

Welcome to my new blog!

This blog is one of my tasks to do for the course 'ICTs in Language Teaching'. I will be using the blogs as a reflective journal, a place for me to say what I have seen and done in the course, and my plan to incorporate what I am learning into my teaching. In my first post in this blog, I will describe what I have learned while creating the blog and my reflection on using a blog for class.

Even though this is not the first time I use the blog on blogger site, I still find blog useful and effective for my learning and teaching. Back in Critical Thinking course at college, I posted and gave comment on my classmate posts. At first, I do not like using the blog for but after getting used to it, I kind of enjoy it. It seems to me that Blogger is not popular right now in Vietnam because of the strong developments of other social networks such as facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. However, teachers and students around the world still consider this blog as a place to communicate and sharing their knowledge to those who may concern.

While creating the blog, it came to my attention that besides many advantages, there are some problems need to be taken into consideration when posting and give comments on the blogs. First thing teachers must think of is the anonymity of the blog. Should the blog be public or be private to the class. Then who should give the comments and how the comments are given.

In general, I have great time using the blog and I intend to use it on my teaching. In my next English class, I will have my students to submit their homework or assignments on blog then they have to comment on others workWith the help of blog, I believe that students can be more active and interested in learning English.

Thank you and see you next week!
